The inspiration for this
album came through a series of concerts we gave for healing and massage
trainings last year. We wanted to create an hour of soft music, which could be
used during bodywork sessions and support the process of deep relaxation and
inner healing. It was a great challenge to play less music, allowing a space of
simplicity and emptiness within our melodies.
We choose the name "Shanti-Shanti", which comes from the Sanskrit
word for peace and silence. It is an expression we often use when we are
stressed or nervous, reminding ourselves to relax, to take it easy and connect
with our inner peace and well being.
