Antonio Restucci, born
1956 In Santiago, Chile, is a composer and virtuoso on guitar and mandolin.
Since the beginning of his musical career at the age of 15, he has focused on
the study of classical guitar, integrating aspects of Latin-American folk music
in his compositions. Today he belongs to the leading guitarists in the genres
Jazz and Alternative Music in his country. His band has been awarded in 1982
Best Group in Instrumental Music, in 1986 Best Group of Latin
Jazz, and most recently he received the Altazor Award as Best
Alternative Jazz production of 1999 for his third album titled
Vetas, released by the artist himself. In 1993 his debut album La
Hebra has been released through the Alerce label in Chile, 1996 his second
album Plaza del Angel through Nazca Music in Holland, and in January
2000 his latest album titled Cenizas en el Mar, released through Mundo
Vivo in Chile, receiving excellent credits in the media. Next to his guitar and
mandolin recordings he is working with Fransesca Anacrola, a famous Chilean
singer, and has released several albums with her. |
