Yashu's music, influenced by classical Indian traditions, is
beautifully played on silver and bamboo flute, tabla, santoor, and tambura.
"In Silence" features nine meditative compositions with an intriguing
musical depth, inviting the listener to move into a space of silence where
meditation and inner healing easily occur. She is accompanied by Manish, a
young talented Indian tabla player who has studied with the famous tabla master
Ustad All Rakha, the father of Ustad Zakir Hussain, and is currently studying
with Ustad Kausar-Ali, a master from Benares. Nirupa also accompanies Yashu on
tambura, tamburi and vocals.
