Ro's fresh spirited textures of percussion, shot through with simple
melodies and a dash of humor, create a vivid scenery of sound and rhythm in
this World Beat recording. Performed and arranged by Ro, the eclectic
influences of his playing are presented with charm and an animated sense of joy
and gratitude. Handmade takes us on a journey through his world - the
world of percussion - with a rich and earthy mix of traditional and modern
Afro-Cuban rhythms including congas, drums, vocals and keyboard programming.
Some of the guest musicians include Yashu on flute and the voice of Henk
Kuijpers on the track Habibi. Jose Lopretti plays bass and Fernando Bruno
Palacios Paz adds lead vocals to Con Roberto Me Voy, and Muneer A. Fataah plays
5 string cello on Rumba With A View, Canto a Elegua.
