A charming and innovative blend of Mediterranean Folk Music, Jazz and
New Age music played on traditional Spanish instruments as guitar, mandola,
accordion, bagpipe, violin, drums and percussion; interwoven with a subtle
texture of electronic sound and ethnic percussion. The warm Mediterranean
feeling of these melodies is uplifting and infectious. The ancient folk tunes
Gitanes de Vilapourcon and La vall d1Estola, incorporate a gentle mix of
traditional and modern styles that are testimonies to the deep musical culture
in Catalan and the Northern Mediterranean. Toni plays classic and acoutic
guitar, mandola, keyboards along with vocals. Jordi Ruiz is on electric bass
and Santa Salas on drums, congas, udu and percussion. Xavier Macaya adds
bagpipes and violin. Many talented guest musicians perform as well on this
lively and extremely interesting recording.
